Today we are going to explain how to delete phone contacts that you have uploaded to Facebook. If you browse the data that Facebook has about you, one of the surprises you will come across is that you may have accidentally given your entire phone book, with the names, emails and phone numbers of your contacts.
If you are not satisfied that Facebook has these contacts, or you simply want them to decide what private information to provide them, there are ways to delete both those that you have uploaded by Facebook and those of the Messenger application. Of course, deleting the function of finding Facebook friends will lose part of its usefulness.
Delete your phone contacts from Facebook
The first thing you have to do is click on the icon of the two heads on the top bar of Facebook, which is to manage contacts. Once the window with the sections of requests and people you could meet is displayed, click on the option Find friends.
You will go to a screen where on the left side you will have a list of suggested friendships. But what you have to do is look at the small window Add personal contacts that you have at the top right, and click on the option Manage contacts to go to the manage contacts page. You can also enter this page by directly clicking THIS LINK.
You will enter the Manage imported contacts and invitations page. In it you will see a list with all the contacts that Facebook has collected from your mobile or email. Here, In the Imported Contacts section, click on the Delete all contacts option If you want to delete all the contacts on the Facebook servers at once.
On the other hand, if you want to delete only certain contacts go selecting the ones you want to delete (1) using the selection boxes to the left of each one. Once all have been selected press the Delete selection button to delete the ones you have chosen.
Delete the contacts that you have uploaded with Messenger
In the menu Manage invitations and imported contacts that you have entered to delete the contacts uploaded to Facebook, click on the button Check the contacts that you have uploaded in Messenger that you have above the list to access the contacts uploaded by the Facebook messaging app. You can also enter this new option by clicking THIS LINK.
You will see that another list of contacts appears, with the names, telephone numbers and emails of each one. Here there will be no option to delete only some, but you can delete them all at once pressing the Delete all button that you have above the list.
