How to Play Dishonored on Linux.
Contents
Dishonored is an Action/Stealth video game developed by Arkane Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. It centers on Corvo Attano, a royal assassin, as he fights his way through the plagued city of Dunwall.
In 2012, Dishonoered was released on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. It was later released on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Unfortunately, it was not ported to Linux.

If you’re looking forward to playing as Corvo Attano on your Linux PC, you’ll need the Windows version to work on Linux. Here’s how to do it.
Getting Dishonored to work
Dishonored works best on Linux via Proton and Steam Play. In order to use Proton / Steam Play, you must install the Linux Steam application. Open a terminal window by pressing Ctrl + Alt + T or Ctrl + Shift + T on the keyboard and follow the command line installation instructions below that correspond to the Linux operating system you are currently using.

ubuntu
The Ubuntu operating system has the latest version of Steam in its software repositories. To install it, simply enter the following Apt command in a terminal.
sudo apt install steam

Debian
Unfortunately, Debian Linux does not include Steam in its “main” software repository, as it is not open source software. If you want to install Steam on Debian, the easiest way is to download the DEB package from the Internet and install it manually. To make it work, enter the following commands.
wget https://steamcdn-a.akamaihd.net/client/installer/steam.deb sudo dpkg -i steam.deb

ArchLinux
Arch Linux users will be able to get Steam working via the following pacman command in a terminal window.
sudo pacman -S steam
Fedora/OpenSUSE
Both Fedora and OpenSUSE users will have some trouble getting Steam to work from their operating system’s main software repositories. For this reason, we highly recommend following the Flatpak installation instructions.

flat pack
Steam is available as a Flatpak app on the Flathub app store. To install the Flatpak version of Steam on your Linux PC, you will need the Flatpak runtime installed and configured. To get the Flatpak runtime working, follow our guide on the subject.
Once the Flatpak runtime is set up on your Linux PC, add the Flathub app store to your Flatpak sources using the flatpak remove-add command below.
flatpak remote-add –if-not-exists flathub https://flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo

With the Flathub app store added to your Flatpak sources, Steam can be installed using the flatpak install command below.
flatpak install flathub com.valvesoftware.Steam
