How to share your app and service subscriptions from your iPhone
We are going to explain to you how to share your subscriptions as a family with your iPhone, Apple services or third-party apps. This is something that you will be able to do with Apple’s Family setting, where you can add up to six members of a family to have access to purchases and subscriptions paid by the organizer of this family.
The first thing you will need is to have your Apple family configured as we explain in the article that we have linked. And once you do, deciding what you want to share is pretty easy.
Here, you have to keep a few things in mind. The first is that all subscriptions cannot be shared, since it is the developers of each service who must decide whether to enable sharing. In addition, to activate this feature you must be using a device with the operating systems iOS 14.2, iPadOS 14.2 and macOS Big Sur 11.0.1 or higher versions.
Choose which subscriptions to share
The first thing you have to do is enter the Settings application of your iPhone or iPad. Once inside the settings, you have to press where it puts your name at the top of the screen, which is where you can manage things related to your Apple ID and your accounts.
Once you are within your Apple ID options, you have to click on the Subscriptions option. Here be careful, because if below instead of Family you see the option Configure “Family”, it is because you still do not have an Apple family configured with which to share your subscriptions later, so you will have to start by configuring your family from Apple before going back and hitting Subscriptions.
You will enter the Subscriptions options, where you can do several things. To get started, you can activate the option Share new subscriptions so that all the ones you activate are automatically shared with the whole family. If you prefer, you can also click on one of the subscriptions on the list, and in your profile activate the Family Sharing feature if you prefer to decide which ones to share individually.
