What is and who can use YouTube Stories

At the end of 2017, Google announced its intention to create a YouTube Stories system. It is a tool designed only for creators, so that they can create short stories like the ones that Snapchat popularized and have been widely adopted by Facebook in several of its applications.

It is therefore about an alternative to Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and Snapchat stories. In fact, the interface is very similar to that used by these applications, and allows you to take photos or upload videos and add all kinds of filters, writings and masks. All this through its mobile application.

After several months of testing, YouTube stories can now be used by all YouTube users who have more than 10,000 subscribers. This figure is what Google has established to differentiate content creators from other users of its video application.

In the event that you have more of those subscribers and you have not received the function yet, rest assured, because it may take a few hours or days to deploy and reach everyone. Even so, as you will see below, you should have it in the menu that appears when you click on the camera icon within the mobile application.
