We are already after the premiere of the latest Samsung Galaxy S8, as well as LG G6, the latest flagship from Xiaomi is to be presented in April, but so far we have had very little information about the Taiwanese proposal. Now the situation has changed, because new rumors have just appeared about the HTC U, previously codenamed HTC Ocean.

The renders that appeared on the web are the first to go. At first glance, the phone does not stand out with anything special. Just rounded edges, quite small frames around the screen, but a trained geek’s eye will notice one serious “flaw” – the lack of physical keys on the edges of the device. Leaks say that HTC U will receive active edges. It is difficult to say exactly how it will work, but the whole thing is to offer a lot of personalization possibilities, and what is important, third-party companies will also have access to this “feature”, so the whole thing will certainly be developed.

Further rumors are getting more and more interesting, according to them HTC U will be a multimedia harvester. In the case of the camera, we will get the mode HDR+, which will allow you to preview the effect even before taking the photo. When it comes to video creation, we have at our disposal surround sound recording using four microphones. Then there are the technologies BoomSound and USonic, thanks to them, it will be possible to create special sound profiles based on the environment, thanks to which we will personalize the sounds of the phone depending on the place where we are. Of course in HTC U there will be no shortage of well-known stereo speakers.

For dessert, I left what tigers like the most, i.e. the HTC U specification. According to the first information, the heart of the device will be the latest Snapdragon 835, plus 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB built-in internal memory. The phone will be equipped with large 5.5 inch displaywhich will work at a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. The screen is to be additionally covered with protective glass Gorilla Glass 5. They complement the specification two 16 Mpx front and 12 Mpx rear cameras, capacity battery 3000mAh of course with support for fast charging technology. Everything is supposed to work under the control of the latest version Android Nougat with the proprietary overlay of the Taiwanese manufacturer – HTC Sense 9.

How do you like the latest offer from HTC? Does he have a chance against Samsung Galaxy S8 or LG G6?
