Huawei launches Nova series at IFA 2016.

At IFA 2016, the Huawei Consumer Business Group introduced the Huawei Nova and Huawei Nova Plus, the first smartphones in a new line that combines great usability with a beautiful design and powerful performance. This again underlines Huawei’s focus on innovation and design.

“Huawei understands that dynamic consumers are looking for a device that fits their fast-paced lifestyle,” said Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei Consumer Business Group. “The Huawei Nova is specially designed to bring new experiences to users with its extraordinary performance, stylish design and advanced camera features. That makes them excellent devices for a generation that lives their life via a smartphone.”

The curved surface and 5-inch screen of the Huawei Nova smartphone merge seamlessly to form an ergonomic and compact design that fits perfectly in the user’s hand, making one-handed operation easy. With its finished slim lines and curves, the Nova is both beautiful and user-friendly: the design is partly inspired by the lines that can be found in modern architecture.

Today, smartphone users want a device that allows them to capture and share their favorite moments anytime, anywhere. Thanks to the 8 megapixel front camera, the Huawei Nova allows users to take better selfies in all lighting conditions. In addition, the device has the apps Make-up Mode 2.0 and Beauty Mode 3.0, which add cosmetic effects and filters for smooth skin, resulting in better images.

The 12-megapixel rear camera of the Huawei Nova, with larger pixels of 1.25um, features a large-aperture lens, enabling clear and sharp photos even in low-light conditions. In addition, the camera of the Huawei Nova line features extra fast autofocus for amazing accuracy, so that consumers can optimally capture every magical moment in their lives.

With the Huawei Nova line, Huawei continues to exceed expectations. Earlier this year, Huawei already successfully launched several smartphones, including the powerful Mate 8 and Huawei P9, which completely redefine the standard for smartphone photography.

The Huawei Nova line is powered by a Snapdragon 625 processor, which uses advanced 14nm technology for better performance and lower power consumption. The Huawei Nova’s 3020mAh battery with Smart Power 4.0 provides energy for longer use and effortless navigation between different apps. Thanks to the next-generation 3D fingerprint sensor, the Huawei Nova is faster and more accurate to unlock from any possible angle, offering greater security and ease of use and enabling one-handed selfies.

The Huawei Nova has a memory of 32 GB and 3 GB of RAM and will be available in October in more than 50 countries and regions, including Germany, Austria, France and Spain before being offered in other markets. The Huawei Nova Plus will not be available in the Netherlands.
