Although this major disaster in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for the Nintendo Switch was briefly quoted, fans have never experienced what happened before that cataclysmic event…until now.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, releasing exclusively on Nintendo Switch on November 20, takes players to the time before the great cataclysm and presents spectacular, strategic battles in familiar locations across Hyrule before they were destroyed. The game features a variety of familiar characters from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, including Link and Zelda, as well as other familiar faces such as the four Chosen Ones, who will be playable for the first time in the Hyrule Warriors series.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity draws a lot of inspiration from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – not just graphically. Not only will players slice and slash their way through hordes of enemies to protect Hyrule; they will also solve puzzles, unlock weapons and abilities, craft items from collected materials, visit shops to buy items, and use the power of the Sheikah Stone, which fans will recognize from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Players who pre-order the game from Nintendo eShop will receive the Lucky Spoon as an in-game bonus weapon for Link.
