Although there are more and more owners of the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro MaxI still have an iPhone 11. From time to time I want to upgrade, but I haven’t gotten around to it yet. And also sense In this, honestly, not so much..
Apple is still counting the iPhone 11 relevant smartphone. What’s more, the device, which is not that cool, does a great job with all its functions. And I don’t think it looks that old-fashioned either.
Let me tell you about aspects of the use of the iPhone 11 in the first half of 2022. That is why it is still a great device.

The design is not outdated and the body is still almost like new

It’s time to face the truth. Apple hasn’t come a long way in mobile phone design in recent years. So when the iPhone 11 is in a protective case, not easy to distinguish from iPhone 12. And the iPhone 13 has only changed the arrangement of the camera.
It’s still as good in the hand as ever. And when used as-is, it doesn’t feel as comfortable in the palm of your hand as the iPhone 12 or iPhone 13. Thanks to smoothed corners, which for some reason Apple decided to abandon in favor of “progress.”
Still, the design is not obsolete. And the materials are just as good. The combination of glass and metal is a classic of the genre.
The camera bezels show signs of use on the mobile phone, but not on the rest of the body
Interestingly, after almost 3 years, my iPhone 11 is still pretty good. It is not especially scratched, nor very rubbed, there are very few signs of use on the bodywork.. You could put it back in the box and sell it like new.
The glass is understandable, you can only break it. The aluminum frame is more interesting – it’s the matte finish that gives it that look. It was disheartening to see the polished steel on the iPhone 11 Pro. It scratches quickly, and especially in a suitcase.
By the way, in the time that I have had apple mobile phones I have come to the conclusion that silver iPhones of any model are the ones that hold up the best.
You still can’t see the individual pixels on the IPS screen
The issue of individual pixels on the screen has not been a problem for me personally since the release of the iPhone 4 with the Retina matrix.
The iPhone 11 has the same screen as the iPhone XR. It is an IPS matrix with a density of 326 PPI. When Apple introduced it, many said it was a step backwards. After the more detailed (on paper) OLED of the iPhone X, it was strange to read its specifications.
But in reality it turned out to be different. Distinguishing individual dots on the device’s screen is nearly impossible, even after years of use. I never once thought that I was wrong in my choice. Too bad the new iPhones only have OLED.
The interesting thing is that I have switched to the iPhone 11 from the iPhone XS Max. It has an OLED screen with a density of 456 PPI. I have not noticed any decrease in clarity. The other thing is, The “truthfulness” of black.. Due to peculiarities of technology The IPS shows a dark gray instead.
Works great even on trial versions of iOS
The performance of the iPhone 11 is still superior, even in the test versions of iOS
Due to my genuine interest in any technological innovation, I have always used test versions of the iOS operating system. Right now my iPhone 11 is running iOS 15.5 Beta 4. In short, everything is literally flying. There is no problem.
✏️ In general, nowadays iOS is far from perfect. There are bugs and glitches from time to time, but there are few negative impressions.
I have not directly compared the performance of the iPhone 11 and the iPhone 11 Pro (Max). But there is a feeling that the one being discussed The gadget performs more thanks to the lower density of the screen. Fewer points means less stress on the chip.
However, it is important to understand that I myself do not play. Also, lately I prefer to play only with the built-in iOS apps. Of the third-party apps, only Reeder, Trello, Google Maps, Slack, Viber, Utilities, Media, Finance.

I intentionally photographed my iPhone 11 for this article with another iPhone 11. I increased the brightness and contrast of the JPG images using Affinity Photo. I did not do any additional treatment. I have not done any special retouching.
The light source was SamaGame behind the window. I got the macro photos with a Black Eye clothespin lens. It has been intentionally left as is.
I have taken photos with the iPhone 11 on numerous trips. With her, for example, I toured half of Georgia. and i have been to istanbul. Rule.
According to mobile phone standards. photos are ok. Of course, some progress has been made with the release of the new iPhones. But in today’s reality, it’s not worth the upgrade. It is easier to wait another year or even two. I think so.

The battery does not need to be replaced yet
The state of the battery in almost 3 years is 84%. The number of recharge cycles has exceeded 660. The maximum performance from before is maintained. You won’t have to change the battery for another year.. And then we’ll see.
I have never worried about knowing exactly what to charge my mobile phone with. It often hangs on a cable attached to my MacBook. I have tried all original and Chinese chargers with GaN support. The result is obvious.
I left the device connected to the charger overnight, without neglecting the “locks” of the car. In general, my experience confirms that it is not worth worrying about a proper charge. You have to use the gadget.
At my rate of use, the battery charge lasts from morning to night. In general, I don’t need more than that.
Rather than a conclusion, the above is as brief as possible.
A great device that will definitely last me another year or two
❶ Design: It is as relevant as it was three years ago. Apple has hardly changed the camera module, and everything else is pretty much the same in the company’s latest mobile phones. The look and feel are still outstanding. The device is capable of surviving.
❷ Display: The IPS did not embarrass me at the time of purchase, it continues to meet all my needs 100%.
❸ Speed: I don’t spend a lot of time on games, and everything else flies. Even in trial versions of iOS.
❹ Image: I take a lot of photos with my mobile phone when I travel and it has never let me down. Except that the ×2 is missing.
❺ Battery: After 660 charge cycles it has 84% life. It will have to be changed in a year or more.
In general, the device is quite sparkling. In the current reality, I don’t see much point in changing it. With my apple Watch Series 5, which was purchased together with the iPhone 11, the situation is a bit different. But that is a topic for another story. Soon…
