Kingdom Come: Deliverance – How to Save the Game: Get Redeemer Schnapps and Where to Find a Bed
The Kingdom Come: Deliverance save system it’s pretty weird. It is very restrictive, so it can only be saved in specific situations and not when you want.
One of the ways to save is by drinking Redeemer Schnapps, a rare potion that can be bought occasionally or offered as a reward. It can also be saved while sleeping, and the game does it automatically at certain times. On this page we will explain how to save, as well as how to get Redeemer Schnapps potions Y where to find a bed for sleeping.
The Kingdom Come: Deliverance save system – how to save the game in Kingdom Come
There are a few ways to save your game in Kingdom Come: Deliverance, although none of them are as simple as saving at any time, as you would in any other RPG. Here is a quick list of all the options.
However, if you are playing on PC and the system is driving you crazy, there is a solution. The Unlimited Saving mod, created by EddieShoe, lets you do just that: save your game at any time. You can download it here. If you cannot or do not want to opt for that option, keep reading.
One of the first beds you can store in is unlocked in Talmberg.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance – how to save:
- Complete a mission in the main story – When completing main missions the game usually saves your game automatically, which is very convenient. If you know that you are about to finish a mission, you better not hesitate and make it to the end.
- Sleep in a bed – If you sleep somewhere, like in a tavern or in your own bed, the game will also be saved. You’ll unlock beds of your own as you progress through the game, and there are a couple that will be available from the start.
- Use the toilets – Yes, indeed, using the toilets is another way to save the game. In our case, the item was saved when we treated our wounds or took a bath, when we cleaned our clothes and healed the wounds and when we also selected “other services”. However, it was not saved when we just chose to clean the clothes.
- Drinking Redeemer Schnapps – This type of potion is a consumable that we accumulate in the inventory and that can be drunk at any time. It is the only way to save when you want, but there is always a limited quantity, and only a few merchants sell it. It is also difficult to create, because it requires quite rare ingredients. Luckily, they are received before the more difficult main missions. It’s best to save potions for when you haven’t saved for a long time and you know something dangerous will happen. Even so, keep one thing in mind: it is a strong drink, so after drinking a bottle you will be quite drunk. Maybe you want to wait for the effects to wear off before jumping into the action.

How to get Redeemer Schnapss and find a bed to keep in Kingdom Come: Deliverance
You will usually find Redeemer Schnapss in the taverns of Kingdom Come: Deliverance, and also in some general merchants. They are not cheap potions, but they are a crucial method to save anytime, especially if you haven’t done it in a while and it doesn’t seem like it’s going to happen anytime soon.

Your bed at the mill near Rattay. To the southeast there is also a bathhouse.
You can also prepare them yourself, although it is a process that requires much more time, especially if you are good at earning money to buy them directly.
As for the beds, there are some details that are worth taking into account: mainly the fact that only your own bed is used to save the game.
Redeemer Schnapps, 100 Groschen per unit.
One of the first beds of your own you’ll find is the one at the mill near Rattay, after escaping from Talmberg and starting the game’s credits. The bed you wake up in is where you can take a nap (an hour, at least) to put away.
After that you find yourself with different beds as you progress through the main missions, but it should be noted that you can also pay to use one in a tavern. The bed you pay for will count as yours, so your game will be saved too. Very useful if you run out of Schnapps and are far from your own. It is also usually cheap accommodation (about two coins, although you can always haggle).
Basically any bed whose icon appears on the map is a place where you can save. If things get ugly, quickly travel to Rattay and rest for a while, as this will ensure that the game is saved.
