The space exploration It is not always as beautiful and introspective as many of us show in publications, images and videos. There is a whole world of annoyances and inconveniences after that beauty. In the case of Starfield, we have illnesses and injuries. If you play on Easy or Normal they are nothing more than a slight itch, but on high difficulties they can really affect our progress.
Starfield’s illnesses and injuries are represented by a series of icons on the clock HUD, located in the lower left area of the screen. The game does not have a detailed tutorial to reflect what each one does, so below I will tell you everything you need to know to identify them and even avoid them.
The first thing you should take into account is the suit protections: physical, energy, electromagnetic, thermal, aerial, corrosive and radioactive. The first three are usually related to combat (types of ammunition) and the remaining four to the inclement weather of the plans. Some weapons can cause altered effects related to the latter.
The amount of protection determines how much effect can we endure and the severity if it affects us. If we become ill or injured, there are three levels of severities and prognoses, which determine how much it affects our statistics and the possibility of healing without taking action. Both depend on our abilities and they are measured with colors (from by to best): red, orange and green.
Needless to say, being stocked with all types of medications is essential, but if we don’t have them we can choose to go to a doctor to heal us or take a little sleep to heal over time. In some cases it is advisable to act immediately because our statistics can be seriously affected.
