Lian Li launches its new range of gamer-oriented mid-towers: PC-8FI.
The Taiwanese company Lian Li surprises with the introduction of its new 3 semi-tower size boxes aimed at the Gamer world. With an attractive aluminum chassis and available in black and silver, with a special edition in red called “Red Spider Edition”, Lian Li maintains its “Tool-less” standard in the new series of PC-8FI mid-towers , as well as its usual customization capacity. The Lian Li PC-8FI series is undoubtedly a “must have” for Gaming enthusiasts.
LED fans and transparent windows
All three models use the same type of fans, two 120mm at 1200rpm drawing air into the front of the case, and another 120mm at 1200rpm exhausting air at the rear. All fans have an anti-vibration system. Additionally, the upper part offers a hole to install another additional fan of up to 140mm.

The “Red Spider” edition has a large transparent window in the shape of a spider that allows you to see the interior of the chassis and the rear fan, illuminated with red LEDs. On the black edition, the front fans are illuminated with blue LEDs.
inside capacity

The PC-8FI series is designed to give gamers many options when it comes to hardware. For example, the hard drives are mounted on a rack with capacity for up to 6 3.5″ drives, with anti-vibration rubbers and the usual “tool-less” system. Externally, the chassis can house up to 3 5.25″ optical drives, with the option of using one of them for 3.5″ drives, all mounted without tools and with anti-vibration rubbers, just like the hard drives.
The 8 PCI bays allow CrossFireX and even tree-way SLI, and like the rest of the components, they are equipped with a tool-less system and anti-vibration rubbers. As for the power supply compartment, it is located directly on a grill with a dust filter in the lower part of the chassis to increase its ventilation and the life of our power supply.

Likewise, it maintains the standard of assembly without tools (it is anchored by means of a clip), and the anti-vibration rubbers. The PC-8FI series allows the user to mount Micro-ATX or ATX boards directly onto the power supply for convenient access to the power supply.
Dimensions, cable organization and special features

Lian-Li designers have included tool-less cable clamps in the PC-8FI series as well as extra holes in the aluminum plates for better cable management.
The dimensions of the PC-8FI are 210x460x490mm, and the maximum size of the graphics cards they support is 285mm.
The front panel, like the entire box, comes equipped with a tool-less system that allows it to be easily opened to remove the washable dust filters from the front fans. The input/output multimedia ports are located at the top of the front panel, and consist of 2 USB 3.0 ports, 1 e-SATA port and the usual audio jack ports.

To increase airflow, unused PCI slots have perforated tabs. The PC-8FI series also supports liquid cooling, thanks to its two rubber-covered rear holes to prevent unwanted accidents.
Durability
Classic, stylish and functional designs are Lian-Li’s goal. The essence of his products is quality engineering. Intrinsic to the exquisiteness and quality of Lian Li products is their ability to be customized, including a wide range of optional extras that can be added to an already richly detailed product.

The Lian Li PC-8FI is available from the end of May for 180 euros for the black and silver model, and 280 euros for the Red Spider special edition.
