There is a horror series that is causing a stir long before it is released. Netflix has finally released a first trailer and raised expectations even further.
After all, it is the end of an era. “The Fall of the House of Usher” will be the last work that cult director Mike Flanagan made for Netflix. The 45-year-old became known through series like “The Haunting of Hill House” and has been an integral part of the horror universe ever since. Nevertheless, the collaboration with the streaming platform will soon end.

Flanagan is moving to Amazon Prime Video instead, where he will next film a fantasy epic by Stephen King. Until then, fans can look forward to scary hours with the most promising horror series of the year. The short story by Edgar Allan Poe from 1839 served as the basis. However, it is a modern interpretation of the work.
The focus is on the family of the unscrupulous pharmaceutical magnate Roderick Usher. His relatives gradually die under the most mysterious circumstances. Flanagan is a master at using such mystery to take the audience’s breath away. The cast consists of Bruce Greenwood, Carla Gugino, Henry Thomas, Mark Hamill, Mary McDonnell, Michael Trucco, Paola Nunez and Carl Lumbly. The series starts on October 12th.
