Today the new additions to the Extra and Premium tiers of PlayStation Plus were activated and are now available for free download. The full overview of the new additions shows what awaits players.
After the Essential tier PS Plus games have been available for download for two weeksthe new additions for Extra and Premium followed today.
The new “free games” were announced last Wednesday. Included are five games from the “Star Ocean” series, including three games for the premium library.
Also worth mentioning are games like “This War of Mine: Final Cut”, “Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2” and “NieR Replicant”. The complete overview lists all new games.
As of today, PS Plus subscribers of the corresponding level can download these games at no additional cost:

The new PlayStation Plus additions can be played without restrictions as long as they are in the library. Every month some components are removed – also in September.
We continue with PS Plus in October
With the new additions for September, the PS Plus month ends and eyes can be turned to October. The dates can be predicted.
As usual, PS Plus Essential tier games will be unlocked on the first Tuesday of each month. The announcement of these games takes place on the previous Wednesday. In the following two weeks, a similar process will be used to announce and unlock the Extra and Premium games.
Based on this, the following dates can be marked in the calendar:
- Essential announcement on September 27th
- Essential unlock on October 3rd
- Extra/Premium announcement on October 11th
- Extra/Premium activation on October 17th
PlayStation Plus is a paid subscription service for PlayStation consoles that gives players access to exclusive content and features. These include monthly games at no additional cost, access to online multiplayer modes and cloud storage space for saving games, to name just a few examples.
The subscription can be booked monthly, quarterly or annually, with annual pricing having recently been upgraded. Costs amount to 71.99 euros (Essential), 125.99 euros (Extra) or even 151.99 euros (Premium).
