Ubisoft announced “The Division 3” today without telling players what the shooter will offer them. Instead, the focus is on a personnel decision.

Ubisoft has announced “The Division 3”, a sequel to the shooter series, without going into more detail about the game.

However, it was confirmed that Julian Gerighty has been appointed producer of the “Tom Clancy’s The Division” brand and is therefore responsible for all games and products, including “The Division 3”, which was announced today.

Gerighty is the current creative director of “Star Wars Outlaws,” also produced by Massive Entertainment. After the game is released, he will take up his position as brand director of “The Division”.

“This includes oversight of development, operations and creative vision alongside the development teams around the world currently developing the mobile game Tom Clancy’s The Division Resurgence, Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland and Tom Clancy’s The Division 2,” it said in today’s announcement.

The new leader already has relevant experience: After joining Massive Entertainment and releasing the original “The Division” in 2016, Gerighty worked as creative director for “The Division 2”.

Star Wars Outlaws is supposed to be convincing at first

According to Ubisoft, Gerighty is committed to making “Star Wars Outlaws” a success – not just for the developers, but also for fans. He will remain loyal to the project until the official release and oversee its creative direction and the entertainment value of the game.

In a statement, Gerighty emphasized: “There are few games that I can truly say blew me away the first time through. And Tom Clancy’s The Division is one of them. I was immediately hooked, like so many others who are part of our loyal community of players.”

It is a privilege and an honor to continue to create incredible and unforgettable experiences in this fantastic world with the “most talented teams in the world.”

But what can players expect when it comes to “The Division 3”? Ubisoft remained silent on this in today’s announcement. However, the fact that the shooter will appear for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC and support seasons is probably a pretty safe bet.

The first “The Division” came onto the market in March 2016 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One and quickly enjoyed great popularity, which led to a successor in March 2019. With a Metascore of 82, he was equally impressive.
