This night it’s Karim’s turn to present you all the game-related news from the evening in the morning! This time, however, we start with sad news about Marvel icon Stan Lee …

Stan Lee dies at the age of 95

Although The Guard never watches Marvel movies and is not at home in them at all, it is always terrible to report that a leading icon has passed away. Last night, it came out that Comic book writer, publisher and former Marvel president has passed away at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Nothing is currently known about his cause of death, but unfortunately his health has been deteriorating for a while.

Marvel Comics and The Walt Disney Company are in a statement asking fans if they want to honor “the creator, the voice and the champion of Marvel”. “Stan Lee is a superhero to Marvel fans and had the power to inspire, entertain and bring people together”

Stan Lee turned 95 years old. The video below shows all Stan Lee cameos in Marvel movies since 1989.

Warner Bros. releases first trailer Pokémon: Detective Pikachu

Horror movies appear regularly, which are usually terrible to watch. The Pokémon Company and Warner Bros. could have got your hands on gold in that genre with Pokémon: Detective Pikachu! Ryan Reynolds’ voice present takes away some of the fear, but once you’ve seen the CGI renders of Psyduck, Detective Pikachu and Charizard, it’s not surprising if you’re terrified. Fortunately, the Guard always has a shoulder to comfort you.

Nuketown is coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 today

For the fourth time in the history of the Black Ops franchise, you will soon be able to compete against each other in the popular map Nuketown! The Guard has spent quite a few hours of his life in this far too small map and expects to do that again in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4! Nuketown is available to PS4 owners starting today and coming to Xbox One and PC later. The map is free to download.

Theme park management game Parkitect is leaving Early Access

When De Wacht thinks about Rollercoaster Tycoon, he immediately feels incredibly old. Fortunately, we can quickly revisit the kid in ourselves, as Parkitect is leaving Steam Early Access on November 29. Developer Texel Raptor is adding a campaign mode for the 1.0 release and voila, you can relive old times in a brand new game! Do you want to know if it is something for you? Then check out the trailer below!

“It’s not me, it’s the controller!”

The most heard excuse from a gamer seems to actually make sense in the case of Red Dead Redemption 2. Although it is not the controller, Rockstar’s showpiece appears to have an incredibly high input lag. Where games like Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Spider-Man have respectively 4ms and 3ms input lag, Red Dead Redemption 2 has no less than 11ms input lag. This is almost double the game that has scored the highest so far, namely Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. So it all seems to have very little to do with ‘realism’. Who also thought that a game where you can use bullet time was realistic. The Guard shakes its head at these people …

Internet takes off with new Super Smash Bros. Ultimate trailer

That nothing is impossible on the internet, it shows again. The day before yesterday a new Super Smash Bros. Ultimate trailer in which we see the now well-known poster with all characters come to life. Although the trailer is super cool, it sometimes feels a bit like Nintendo has forgotten the music. Fortunately, the internet lends a hand with this, this and this version! Below the original and the version that has gone completely viral!

And then the very best, especially if you listen carefully to the lyrics!

Sunset Overdrive to PC probably on November 16th

One of the better games from 2014 seems to be coming to PC soon! While Microsoft now releases all Xbox exclusives on PC immediately upon release, this was not yet the case in 2014. However, the wait seems to be rewarded, because Sunset Overdrive should be released on Steam this Friday for € 19.99! Let’s hope it’s true, but with an official rating from the ESRB and listings on the Steam Databse and Amazon, it should be okay, right?

Fallout 76 players have difficulty uninstalling beta

It seems to The Guard that this is a trick by Bethesda to get you to buy the game, but people are currently having trouble uninstalling the Fallout 76 beta on PC. If you try this through the normal way, you may encounter the message that you must have the game in your possession before you can make adjustments. Hopefully Bethesda will fix this soon, because currently some people have 50GB of disk space taken hostage by the developer!

This was it for today! I hope you have a nice day. See you later!
