MMD introduces the first Philips 34-inch curved monitor.
Philips license partner MMD has just announced its first curved desktop display, the 34-inch Brilliance Curved UltraWide, which hugs the line of sight and along with enhanced DTS audio via built-in speakers aims to deliver the best user experience. With Quad HD resolution, sRGB color space and MultiView function, this 34-inch screen is intended to be used both at home and in the office.
This curved design allows users to have less head turning to view content at the edges. The ultra-narrow bezel increases its clean appearance, maximizing the viewing area.
Artem Khomenko, EMEA Product Manager at MMD, commented: “The curved screen brings the edges closer to the user, making the viewing experience more comfortable. Users sit closer to a desktop screen than a TV, so the curvature of the screen can create a much more immersive work session with minimal distraction.”

As we mentioned, the experience is enhanced by the screen’s integrated audio technology, DTS’s enhanced sound package.
Images are sharp thanks to CrystalClear, UltraWide Quad HD image reproduction, AH-IPS LCD technology and 3440 x 1440 resolution, plus a color spectrum that goes up to 99% of sRGB – something of vital importance for professionals in the design and creativity sector.

With the UltraWide 21:9 format, it allows various activities to be distributed across the screen without losing too much detail, thanks to MultiView technology, which on the other hand allows users to connect and view content from multiple devices, side by side.
Picture quality is enhanced with Philips Smart Technologies, comprised of various features such as SmartContrast, which automatically adjusts colors and controls backlight intensity to enhance contrast. Another example is SmartResponse, which is dedicated to automatically improving response times for applications such as games or movies, in order to provide images free of interference, delays or ghosting.

On the subject of connectivity options, to make work easier for professionals, it comes with DisplayPort and HDMI 2.0, MHL technology to display mobile content on the big screen, and USB 3.0 for charging and data transfer.
