Spending on mobile games on the App Store reached $ 16.3 billion in the first two quarters of this year, growing 15.1% year on year. Worldwide game downloads totaled 15 billion in the first half on Google Play, representing 77% of all new mobile game installations in the period between the two stores, growing 10.3% year on year. Game downloads on the App Store grew slightly more, with 14.1% over the first half of 2017, to an estimated 4.5 billion.

PUBG Mobile from Tencent, Helix Jump from Voodoo, and Subway Surfers from Kiloo were the three most downloaded mobile games in both stores during the first half of this year.
