Monster Hunter World and Iceborne over 24 million units sold
Capcom has announced the latest sales figures for its main releases and this update shows how incredible sales are for the latest Monster Hunter.
Launched in January 2018, Monster Hunter World has become one of Capcom’s most acclaimed games and one of its biggest hits, with sales that allow it to become the company’s best-selling game.
According to the latest update, more than 7.2 million copies of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne have already been sold, the expansion that can be purchased for the game or in a version that also includes the game. Sales from the expansion launched in September 2019 now allow it to rise above the 24 million units sold.
The previous Monster Hunter World update revealed that more than 17 million had already been sold and today it was only revealed that another 300,000 units of the original version were sold between April 1, 2020 and December 31, 2020.
This means that sales of the original version and the Iceborne versions exceed 24 million units and this is yet another sensational result for Capcom and the series.
The next step in the series is Monster Hunter Rise for Nintendo Switch, which promises to become an equally smashing success.
