For another week, Monster Hunter World was the best-selling game in Japan. In a week full of new features, the game Capcom held the lead thanks to its great popularity, leaving Dynasty Warriors 9 by Koei Tecmo and Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet by Bandai Namco respectively in second and third place.
Splatoon 2, meanwhile, has already sold over two million units, and the Shadow of the Colossus remake has moved up to fifth place. Dragon Ball FighterZ suffered a 79% drop in sales, and despite its position, Dynasty Warriors was the series’ worst first since Dynasty Warrrios 2 for PlayStation 2. Sword Art Online also sold nearly half of its first. opus than the previous one, Hollow Realization.
In terms of hardware, and thanks to numerous releases, the PlayStation 4 is one more week the best-selling console in Japan. Along with the PlayStation 4 Pro, the Sony console accounted for 55.01% of hardware sales over the past week. Switch was the second, with a 33% market share.
