The arrival of the Iceborne expansion to the PC version of Monster Hunter World is not going well.

At the moment, the expansion has neutral reviews in general due to the significant amount of negative reviews it has received due to optimization problems for the platform.

The Iceborne expansion was launched for the consoles – PS4 and Xbox One – in September 2019. The PC version only arrived in January 2020, four months later. The players are upset because, despite receiving the expansion later, it is not properly optimized.

With the launch of the expansion, all players received the same update (even if they did not purchase the expansion), so performance issues are affecting everyone who plays the PC version of Monster Hunter World.

As we write this news, the PC version of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne has just over 2300 positive reviews and almost 3200 negative reviews. Most negative reviews point to performance and optimization problems.

There are those who complain about excessive CPU usage (even on capable computers), frame rate problems and errors that the PC restarted. Hopefully Capcom will be able to fix these issues eventually.
