LG at MWC 2019 in Barcelona unexpectedly presented its first smartphone with a 5G modem. The device is characterized by a very good specification, as well as interesting functions. Here’s what you should know about it
LG V50 ThinQ 5G
The smartphone is equipped with a 6.4-inch OLED display with WQHD+ resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a cutout at the top. The heart of the device is Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 octa-core processor with Adreno 640 graphics and Qualcomm Snapdragon X50 modemresponsible for 5G connectivity. The set is supported by 6GB of RAM and 128 GB of built-in memorywhich can be extended with cards with a maximum capacity of 2TB. At this point, it is worth mentioning that a new one was placed under the housing cooling system with a steam chamber. The housing itself is extra waterproof and dustproof, in accordance with the IP68 standardand all of that was missing military standard MIL-STD-810G.

LG V50 ThinQ 5G works under control Android 9.0 Pie with the manufacturer’s overlay. The smartphone draws energy from 4000 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology. Everything has dimensions 159.2×76.1×8.3 mm and weighs 183 grams.
LG Dual Screen
It would seem that LG’s answer to Samsung Galaxy Fold and Huawei Mate X there is an optional accessory for the V50 ThinQ called LG Dual Screen. The accessory is equipped with 6.2-inch OLED display with Full HD+ resolution. Importantly, both displays can be used independently of each other, so the user can use four applications at the same time. The manufacturer also announced that there will be an option that will allow you to use the additional panel as a controller when playing certain games.
Price and Availability
The manufacturer has not yet revealed information about the launch of the V50 ThinQ 5G on the market. We also do not know anything about the suggested price of the device. At the moment, we only know that the smartphone will be on offer selected operators in Europe, the United States and South Korea.
