N-able (formerly SolarWinds MSP) announced that N-central integration with Microsoft Intune is availablea component of Microsoft 365 Business Premium, con the goal of helping MSPs manage and secure their customers’ apps and devices. Microsoft Intune enables MSPs to securely manage workstations and mobile devices to help configure application and app protection policies.
From now on, N-central users can see Intune-managed devices to help maintain consistent policies and configurations right from the N-central dashboard. They can view all device alerts and create consolidated reports in one place, strengthening data protection and optimizing monitoring and management efficiency.
“Managing devices from two systems takes time, and navigating between two different dashboards to align policies and view alerts can lead to errors. This integration enhances partners’ Intune experience and enables them to leverage Intune in a more intuitive way. This, at the same time, promotes the efficiency of technicians, allows for greater security and allows MSPs to deliver a differentiated service to customers,” said Mav Turner, Vice President of Products at N-able. “Nearly every one of our partners either uses Microsoft software in their business or has customers who use it. The integration of N-able N-central and Intune is another important step in addressing our partners’ need for different solutions from various vendors and, more importantly, it saves them time.”
N-able N-central and Microsoft Intune, the integration that was missing
“By integrating Intune and N-central, MSPs can manage the entirety of their customers’ devices from a single dashboard, while increasing their ability to keep them secure and functional,” said Tim Sinclair, principal program manager at Microsoft. “This step supports MSP success with a more streamlined and integrated ecosystem, and when combined with the power of multi-tenant monitoring, automation and reporting capabilities available in N-central, the two solutions are truly the best match possible”.
With this integration, MSPs can use N-central to authenticate access and discover Intune-managed client devices and bring them under a single device view.
Users can then install selected devices from the Intune-managed N-central Professional or Essential agent, to view them in the N-central dashboard. Managing these devices from within N-central allows MSPs to apply profiles created in Intune from the N-central dashboard to multiple customers at once.
In addition to consolidating alerts in one place, status changes from all devices can flow to the PSA or MSP ticketing system and richer reporting information can provide a more complete view of the MSP’s entire customer base.
