Amazfit, Huami’s smartwatch division, has gone through CES 2020 to show us two new smartwatches. The first and perhaps most notable is the Amazfit T-Rex, a military-strength certified device that meets the MIL-STD-810G standard; the second is the Amazfit Bip S, which is nothing more than a slightly renewed Amazfit Bip.
The company has confirmed that the Amazift T-Rex will hit the market in January 2020, that is, in this same month, at a price of $ 139.99, about 125 euros at the change. The Amazfit Bip S, meanwhile, is expected to be available in February 2020 at an unknown price. To give you some context, the original Amazfit Bip is right now for between 50 and 60 euros.

Amazfit T-Rex, the most resistant of the Amazfit
We start with the most striking model, which is none other than the Amazfit T-Rex. The device bets on a circular screen and a more aggressive aesthetic finished in camouflage green, army green, khaki, black and gray. According to the company, it has been designed for adventurers and outdoor sports enthusiasts, as it has been constructed with a resistant polymer.
Complies with the 12 regulations of the US military standard MIL-STD-810G and, depending on the brand, it withstands temperatures down to -40ºC and 70ºC and up to five atmospheres (50 meters deep).
As for the screen, the watch mounts a panel 1.3-inch AMOLED with Always on Display and a resolution of 360 x 360 pixels. Inside it has GPS + GLONASS that can be used for more than 20 hours continuously. With normal use, the 390 mAh battery gives up to 20 days of autonomy, depending on the brand and, when it comes to sport, it offers 14 sports modes, including swimming.
Finally, it is worth mentioning the sensors, since the Amazfit T-Rex has the PPG BioTracker optical sensor, which translated into Spanish means a continuous heart rate monitoring sensor. Thanks to it, the device will send notifications when it detects anomalies in the pulsations, for example. It also has a three-axis accelerometer, geomagnetic sensor and ambient light.
Amazfit Bip S, a slightly improved version
Last but not least, it is worth mentioning the Amazfit Bip S, which is nothing other than an Amazfit Bip with some improvements. The first and most striking is the integration of Huami-PAI, an indicator of personal activity developed by the brand that gives details about heart health and exercise in general.
It has also been implemented five atmospheres water resistance (50 meters deep), swimming tracking mode and musical control via Bluetooth, in addition to having slightly reduced the weight, which goes from 32 grams to 30 grams. Otherwise, exactly the same as the original model: same rectangular screen, same resolution, same sensors and same autonomy.
Versions and price of the Amazfit T-Rex and Amazfit Bip S
As we said before, the Amazfit T-Rex is scheduled to hit the market throughout this month at a price of $ 139.99, which at the change is about 125 euros. However, the price that it will have in the European market has not been made official, so, if it reaches that market, it is expected that there will be some other modification.
As far as the Amazfit Bip S is concerned, we know that it will arrive for the month of February of this year at a price of $ 69.90, as the brand exposes on Weibo. They are about 62 euros to change. Again, no news regarding international availability for now.
