A few months ago, we were talking about the AOC AGON AG353UCG, a curved 4K monitor that cost over $ 2,500 and was therefore not very “for all audiences”. But now the manufacturer presents five new AOC monitors for gaming, a little less ambitious but also less expensive.
There are two series, one with three models with a curved screen and the other with two with a flat screen, all aimed at a gaming audience looking for something between 23.8 and 31.5 inches, with FullHD resolution. but without giving up 240Hz refresh rate.
AOC C27G2ZU, C27G2ZE and C32G2ZE
The C27G2ZU, C27G2ZE and C32G2ZE monitors are the three models with a curved VA panel, which offer viewing angles of 178/178. The contrast is high, with a 3000: 1 ratio and they also cover a wide color spectrum (120% sRGB, 89% BeRGB and 85% NTSC).
The difference between the “U” and “E” models is that the latter are more basic (essential) models, in this case being the more economical version of the 27 inch curved model. An option that leaves out certain additions such as height adjustable stand, integrated 2x2W speakers and 4-port USB 3.2 hub.
Common in all models we see the Low Blue Light mode and Flicker-Free technology, both intended to make long hours of use less aggressive on the eyes (thinking for example of the long tournaments that sometimes occur in electronic sports). They also maintain links, with HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.2, and audio in / out, in addition to the tilt mount (all can be attached to a VESA mount).
Thus, the C27G2 models integrate 27-inch screens with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. The refresh rate is up to 144 Hz and the response time of 1 ms, reaching 250 nits of brightness.
For its part, the C32G2ZE incorporates a 31.5-inch screen, with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, a brightness of up to 300 nits, 240 Hz and the response time is maintained at 1 ms.
AOC 24G2ZU and 24G2ZE
These monitors 23.8 inch They integrate TN flat screens, unlike the previous ones. They have AMD FreeSync Premium, support to prevent the image from jerking by offering variable update rate.
These are 23.8-inch screens with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. In this case, the refresh rate can reach 144Hz and the response time is 0.5ms, reaching 250nits of brightness.
