Thunderbolt 3, the star of Samsung’s new monitor
Samsung seeks to anticipate IFA 2018 a few days to present its new CJ79 monitor, which in terms of size is below what was presented a year ago, and its greatest novelty is the incorporation of two Thunderbolt 3 ports under 85W USB-C interface. According to Samsung, these ports will allow us to transmit information at up to 40Gbps, in addition to supporting simultaneous loading of devices of up to 15W, all from the same cable.
The monitor features Samsung’s Quantum Dot technology, 125% sRGB color spectrum support and AMD FreeSync compatibility. The size of the panel is 34 inches with a 21: 9 aspect ratio, which will allow us to have up to two separate video sources, which we can configure either by Picture-by-Picture (PBP) or Picture-in-Picture ( PIP), with the latter we can change the size of the second font by up to 25% of the screen and place it anywhere.
