More camera, better screen, greater autonomy
With respect to last year’s Sony Xperia 10, in this new version II the manufacturer has introduced a series of relevant changes. Perhaps the most prominent of all at first glance is that of photography. The smartphone now has three cameras verticals at the rear as opposed to last year’s two horizontals.

These three cameras are the usual suspects: wide angle, ultra wide angle and telephoto. The first of these is the normal lens, which with a 12 MP sensor will be used in the usual situations. It is accompanied by two 8 MP sensors, one of them being an ultra wide angle for photographs to capture wide scenes and a telephoto to have a higher quality optical zoom. Sony has also added a number of software features to improve image capture by enriching colors, optimizing skin color and texture, or enhancing brightness and dynamic range in night photography.
While this year the characteristic elongated ratio of 26: 9 is maintained and FHD + resolution, Sony has slightly improved the screen. This improvement occurs in the panel used, which becomes a OLED panel where a greater contrast and representation of colors is achieved, especially pure blacks. They indicate that the phone also comes with Triluminos Display for mobile technology to display more accurate colors. Regarding the total size, it is a 6-inch panel with upper and lower frames but without any type of front physical button.
The third relevant aspect of the Sony Xperia 10 II is its new 3,600 mAh capacity battery. A considerable jump if we consider that last year the Sony Xperia 10 came with 2,870 mAh. How much autonomy this new battery provides is something that we will only know after real tests and in different situations and uses. Sony has expressed that the phone comes with technologies to take care of and extend the life of the battery. Battery Care and Xperia Adaptive Charging optimize and adjust the charge level so that the battery does not oversaturate and therefore wears out more slowly. Again, it is something that we can only find out with use.
The RAM goes up to 4 GB and we only found this version of the phone. The same goes for the internal storage, which is found only in the 128GB option. As for the processor, we are facing the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665, focused this year on the mid-range of smartphones on the market. The fingerprint reader is on the side.

Versions and prices of the Xperia 10 II
Sony will put on sale the new Sony Xperia 10 II in Europe during spring 2020, although no exact date of arrival has been specified. It will do so in a white and a black version, with no differences in price or RAM or storage.
