Xiaomi introduced a new smartwatch for the Chinese market last year with the Watch S1, but it is now rumored that it will also be available in Europe and Germany in the not too distant future. At least that’s what leaker @TechInsiderBlog reveals on Twitter.

It probably goes without saying that notifications can be forwarded to the wrist with the watch. Numerous supported fitness modes, sleep tracking and a heart rate sensor are also on board – standard equipment for such a wearable in 2022.

Proprietary operating system for Android and iOS users

What you might want to criticize: According to the first reports of the watch, like previous Xiaomi smartwatches, it does not connect to the Xiaomi Mi Fit app (which recently received a major update), but to Xiaomi Wear on both Android and iOS.

This may also indicate that a proprietary operating system is used on the Xiaomi Watch S1. Nevertheless, apps from third-party providers should be able to be installed, whatever that may look like exactly. The leaker also promises more than 200 watch faces, but you probably can’t build your own.

Xiaomi Watch S1 Active allegedly from 200 euros

In addition to the Xiaomi Watch S1, there is apparently also a Watch S1 Active, whereby the two models should not differ in the technical data, but only in the design. The Watch S1 Active (Space Black/Ocean Blue/Moon White) is said to be the cheaper of the two at around 200 euros, while the Watch S1 (silver/black) costs 250 euros.
