A release date for Zelda Breath of the Wild and information on Xenoblade

These last months, Laura Kate Dale has shown itself to be a reliable source regarding leaks, particularly those related to Nintendo, to the point that it is now blacklisted (informally) by the British branch of the publisher. Regardless, that doesn’t stop him from revealing new information regarding the Switch version of Xenoblade Chronicles X and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Xenoblade X port is not being developed by Monolith, they’re working on something new ground up for Switch. 2018 earliest. Not launch year.

The remastering of Xenoblade Chroniclesoriginally released in April 2015 for Wii U, would be in development at an external studio specialized in various portages. The reason behind this choice would be that Monolith is currently working on a new project which would not arrive before 2018. Still according to Dale, this Switch version would arrive within the first six months following the arrival of the console, i.e. between March and September 2017.

She also stated that Nintendo had, internally, decided on a release date for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. This last would first arrive on the Nintendo Switch on June 16, 2017then a week later on Wii U, June 23, 2017.

Of course, all of this remains rumors and caution is required. But so that Nintendo the blacklist, she must have put her finger on something….
