A 19-year-old man was reportedly injured in an armed robbery overnight from Friday to Saturday. A fight that allegedly broke out in the Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension borough is the cause of the event.
At approximately 3:45 a.m., authorities received a call about a dispute that allegedly escalated between several individuals. Once on the scene, they immediately assisted the young man injured in the upper body, possibly by stabbing him, according to information from the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).
The assault occurred near the intersection of Boulevard Crémazie and 13e Avenue, in the Saint-Michel district.
The victim was taken care of by paramedics and taken to hospital. The SPVM confirmed that he did not fear for his life.
The reasons for the attack are still unknown. A crime scene has been established so that SPVM investigators can understand the causes and circumstances of the event.
