iPhone battery: a pioneering technology at Apple

According to ET News, Apple is developing a battery offering a significantly longer lifespan thanks to a new design. This innovation should appear in products launched from 2025. Industrial experts cited by the publication point out that the firm is experimenting with the composition of the cathode, integrating more silicon in place of the usual graphite.

This modification aims to increase battery capacity while reducing charging time. However, silicon poses risks of expansion when charging, a challenge that competitors have yet to address. Apple, however, would have found a solution to get around this obstacle.

Although precise details on the improvements brought by this new design are not yet disclosed, even a single-digit percentage improvement would be significant for users.
