Apple will release a new base-class iPad in the second half of next year, according to a Taiwanese report on the company’s plans to allocate product development resources.
According to Nikkei Asia, Apple is collaborating with Chinese company BYD, a key iPad assembler, to shift production resources to Vietnam.
According to sources, engineering review for test production of the new iPad model will begin around mid-February next year. The base model of the tablet, which will most likely be the 11th generation iPad, will be available in the second half of 2024.
There are no rumors about new features coming to the 11th generation model, but it will most likely receive an updated processor and possibly an improved camera.
