Accusations of favoritism
After Éric Dupond-Moretti, another minister in office, Olivier Dussopt, is called to explain himself to the courts. He must appear before the Paris criminal court for communication of privileged information concerning a call for tenders, for the benefit of the “Saur” water treatment group.
He is also suspected of having modified the evaluation criteria of this call for tenders to favor this company.
During the opening of a preliminary investigation by the National Financial Prosecutor’s Office (PNF) in 2020, five grievances emerged: favoritism, but also corruption, illegal taking of interest, complicity and concealment of these crimes, in particular due to two lithographs by the painter. Gérard Garouste proposed to the minister by a Saur manager.
“Of the 5 grievances, 4 were closed. There was no personal enrichment on my part,” Olivier Dussopt assures us today. In fact, the latter were closed without further action at the end of the investigations.
