Best selling games UK 428 – FIFA 16 takes back power from Star Wars

Like every week, England meets us with the aim of discovering the best game sales made last week on its soil. We thus discovered that with Black Friday, the video game sector experienced a real surge with a 60% jump in total game sales compared to the previous week.

These increases are higher than last year over the same 2 weeks, but the software units and actual revenues in week 48 2015 vs. week 48 2014 are lower (-9% of units / revenue of -10%). However, the observation is the opposite for console sales with an increase of 8% from year to year. While last year, the PS4/Xbox One duo represented 46% of total console sales over the period, this year, the magic combo represents no less than 86% sales and this is reflected in game sales with New-Gen titles at the party.

Indeed, while last year, PS4/Xbox One games represented 46% sales, this year the figure stands at 74% and indicates once again that the transition to the new generation of machine is almost complete. In detail, with an increase in sales of 254%, FIFA 16 easily takes first place in the ranking, while Black Ops 3 takes advantage of this to increase its sales 47% and find themselves second in sales this week.
