Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night continues on its merry way. Result of the Kickstarer project of IGA-San (Castlevania: Symphony of the Night) started in 2015, the game is experiencing an important stage in its development since most of the work is done if we are to believe the statements of the man on the official page of the project.
However, IGA also announces bad news for players who were waiting for the title on Mac and Linux:
Merry Christmas. IGA here.
This year is coming to an end…
In this update, we have a very important announcement to make. Bloodstained will no longer be supported on Mac and Linux. We made this difficult decision due to the difficulty of supporting support for middleware and online features and ensuring we meet the rest of the game’s scope. We will be offering backers who plan to play the game on Mac and Linux to switch platforms. If you would like to change your platform, please send an email with your new platform request from the email address associated with your Kickstarter pledge. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience and hope for your understanding.
Development has reached its peak – we are currently checking how Bloodstained performs on each platform. Overall, we’ve completed enemy placement and are entering the adjustment phase. But there are still plenty of progress-blocking bugs to deal with.
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night does not have a definitive release date but should all end up seeing the light of day during 2019.
