Diablo 4 is awesome…for the first thirty hours or so. The main story is surprisingly compelling, and the opening is well-crafted (this was one of the elements we praised the most in our Diablo 4 review). But it is true that most players will be disappointed by the game’s ending.

Of course, if you’re only playing for a weekend, you don’t have to worry about all that, just jump in and enjoy the game’s awesome first half. Below we have all details on how to join the Diablo 4 Free Trial Weekend on PC.

Diablo 4 Free Trial Weekend: Key Details

Here are the most important things you need to know about this free trial:

How to sign up: All you need is a Blizzard account, which is free to create, and a PC that can run Diablo 4.
Duration: The Diablo 4 Free Trial Runs October 27-302024. It will be finish at 9:00 a.m. (Pacific Time) (12:00 p.m. ET / 5:00 p.m. GMT / 6:00 p.m. CET).
Content: You will get full access to the gameincluding all classes and customization options, but the the maximum level for each character you create during the free trial is 20 (which takes about 6-8 hours). You can create multiple characters, so you can start over with a new class if you reach 20.
Multiplayer: During the free trial period, you will have full access to all Diablo 4 multiplayer featuresand so you can join friends and play cooperatively (crossplay is available in Diablo 4).

If you like Diablo 4 and want to continue playing after the trial period, the game is on sale (25% off all editions) until November 1st.. Diablo 4 doesn’t appear in sales too frequently, and it won’t be included in the Steam Scream sale for example, so this is actually a pretty good opportunity to get the game at a discounted price. However, if you’re really patient, maybe you could wait and see if they’ll ever add it to Game Pass now that the Microsoft-Activision deal has been finalized.

We hope you find some time to play this weekend. As we said above, the opening of Diablo 4 is really fun. And to be fair to Blizzard, they’ve been pushing updates since launch to improve the game’s ending, we’re just not convinced it’s still there.
