Dreams details his dreams at the PlayStation Experience

On the occasion of the presentation dedicated to dreams During PlayStation Experience 2017, the Media Molecule teams gave us more than 20 minutes of gameplay from their new project. In addition to impressing us with the different creative possibilities presented in the two videos below, the studio has provided many details on the game’s story mode, creative tools and social aspects.

The campaign present in the story mode is made up of three intertwined stories that eventually come together as one.. A bit confusing at first, the story born of a character’s dream gains clarity as the player progresses through the storyline. Moreover, this mode is playable in solo, but also in cooperation mode in order to vary the gaming experience offered to players.

In addition to this story written by the developers, players will also be able to discover the Aautosurf feature which selects three stories randomly created by the players in order to offer us a unique narrative for each game. To provide the ultimate gaming experience, players will also be free to choose the best levels and games created with Dreams to create a unique dream. In this mode, the player can also call on collaborators via the PSN so that they can bring their creativity to your dream.

Interestingly, you also earn experience points based on different roles, such as host, artist, or player. This allows others to search for people who fit a certain role when they want to team up. To be sure not to leave anyone out, the game will offer different tutorials in the form of 50% completed dreams.

You will have to complete them in order to be able to play them, a good way to encourage players to get started in creation by forgetting their fear of getting started. Some are very simple. For example, one is an aquarium, and all you have to do is put fish in it.

The title has a full-fledged audio editor which lets you record audio and create your own music tracks, instruments and more. Moreover, in order to do justice to the creator, the game affiliates each creation to its player and when one of them is used in another level, the name of its creator will be present in the credits.

As announced, the game will always push the limits further by allowing you to create without any limits. For example, it is possible to make playable levels, animated films, music videos with original songs, and more.

dreams will be fully playable at Dualshock 4 for those who are not equipped with PlayStation Move and without great surprise, a PlayStation VR patch will be released some time after the game is released on the market.
