The Tarn-et-Garonne gendarmes intercepted a dangerous convoy driver in Malause, Thursday December 7, 2023. He was going to take up his service in Agen (Lot-et-Garonne) even though his license had been canceled. He tested positive for alcohol, cannabis and cocaine.
This is an unusual arrest carried out by the gendarmes of the motorized brigade (BMO) of Moissac, in Tarn-et-Garonne, while they were checking a truck driver specializing in the transport of dangerous materials, Thursday December 7, 2023 in Malause.
The bikers had in fact set up a night check on the D 74E in order to detect addictive behavior.
Even if it takes a lot to surprise them, the interception of this heavy goods vehicle driver going to Agen (Lot-et-Garonne) to take up his duties did not go unnoticed.
At the wheel of his vehicle, the driver is, in fact, without a driving license, the latter having been canceled in May 2023.
A shot of coke before service
As if that were not enough, this “road professional” accumulates traffic violations. Screened, Moissagais, 43, also showed a blood alcohol level of 0.78 grams of alcohol per liter of blood while also being positive for narcotics.
The driver admits to having smoked a joint of cannabis during the day and snorted a rail of cocaine just an hour before getting behind the wheel. Police also noted a lack of insurance on his personal vehicle for almost a year.
Pending the return of the saliva samples sent to the analysis laboratory and a court decision, the trucker’s vehicle was immobilized and taken care of by a tow truck.
