A new BN Pictures website is now live, revealing that the new Gintama on the Baragaki Arc of the 2D Theater The compilation film will premiere in Japanese theaters in November. As its name suggests, this new film will adapt Gintama Arc Baragaki from the anime with new content.

Hideki Sorachi’s Popular Gintama The series started with the manga in 2004. The manga lasted until June 2021 with an impressive 17-year runtime. Additionally, the 3-Nen Z-Gumi Ginpachi-Sensei spin-off novel series will be getting a new anime adaptation, and another project seems to be on the way.

New Gintama on the Baragaki Arc of the 2D Theater Movie

Gintama on the Baragaki Arc of the 2D Theater will premiere on November 10 in Japan and will run for three limited weeks. The special anime compilation movie will include re-releases of the anime episodes from the Baragaki arc with bonus content such as extra scenes. The official website is now live with a synopsis of the story, and information on participating Japanese theaters and exclusive merchandise will be revealed later.

Issue 40 of the weekly Shonen Jump announces that a new Gintama The 20th anniversary project will be announced in issue 41 of Weekly Shonen Jump. Issue #40 was released today in Japan, and #41 on September 11. More build details and additional projects will likely become available in the weeks and months to come. Fans can also look forward to Jump Festa 2024 in December, which will feature Gintama in one of the main stage events.
