Announced in 2015 during PlayStation Experience, the PS VR exclusive Golem had been quiet so far. At Sony’s latest event, the game broke the silence and announced its release date for March 13, 2018. In a blog post, Jaime Griesemerfrom studio Highwire Games, explained:
“In Golem we tell a very personal story of an injured child who learns to explore the mode through her magical gifts and the help of her older sister and her overprotective father.”
He also claims that they worked on intuitive controls that will allow players to move naturally into the world of Golem, as they naturally would. Concerning the fights, Griesemer specifies that players have direct movement controlmeaning that the parry will not be done only by pressing a key and that each blow is not controlled by an animation:
“If they can’t get their sword over their head in time, they won’t parry. And if they fail to carve an exposed limb, they will do no damage. It takes practice, but a successful counterattack is incredibly satisfying. »
Finally note that the music of the game will be composed by Marty O’Donnellrecognized for his work on Halo and Destiny.
