Diablo IV, the latest installment in the iconic action-RPG series, offers players a dark and dangerous world filled with daunting challenges and elusive treasures. Among the many sought-after prizes in the game is the Experience Urn, an elusive treasure that many players have struggled to get their hands on.

As the name suggests, The Urn of Experience greatly enhances your character’s leveling abilities. However, many players have encountered obstacles when trying to track him down, partly due to a common misconception about his name. Read on to learn more about the Urn of Experience in Diablo IV and how to get your hands on it!

How to get the experience urn in Diablo IV

As previously mentioned, many players have had difficulty getting their hands on the Experience Urn in Diablo IV. This is for a multitude of reasons, not the least of which is the fact that “Urn of Experience” isn’t even its real name!

The item that so many Diablo IV players have dubbed the “Urn of Experience” is actually called the Urn of Aggression. The Urn of Aggression is one of 5 urns recently added to the game; they provide players with active buffs that can help them during their game.

The Urn of Aggression, more commonly known to players as the Urn of Experience, increases their characters’ XP gain rate as they play. However, it is not actually a physical item that can be found in the game.

The 5 Urns that can be earned (no pun intended) by players are blessings that can only be purchased with Smoking asheswhich are materials that players can only receive during the Diablo IV Battle Pass.

In order to obtain the XP buffs provided by the Experience Urn, players will need to gather the smoldering ashes of the Seasonal Battle Pass. Once they have collected enough, they can use them to activate the Urn. Once activated, players will also be able to use additional smoldering ashes to upgrade itin order to get stronger buffs.

All Diablo IV Battle Pass Urns

The Experience Urn in Diablo IV is easily one of the Battle Pass’s most popular features, but it’s far from the only one of its kind.

Besides the Urn of Aggression, other urns available in the Diablo IV Seasonal Battle Pass are the Urn of Negotiation, Urn of Salvage, Urn of Extension, and Urn of Malignancy.

Here are all the unique buffs players can obtain by activating these Urns:

Urn of aggression – “Increased XP gained from slain monsters.”
Negotiation urn – “Increase the amount of gold earned from vendor sales.”
Recovery urn – “Increase the chance of recovering rare materials”.
Extension urn – “Boost the duration of all Elixers”.
Urn of malignancy – “Increase the chance of obtaining powerful Malignant Heart drops. Hearts drop after finishing the campaign.”

Each of the urns can be upgraded up to 4 levels, which will increase the power of the buffs they offer. To upgrade them, all you need is more smoldering asheswhich you will need to collect anyway to activate the Urns.
