If you’ve enjoyed Starfield, you’ve probably noticed the fact that there’s a plethora of items in the game. From weapons and spacesuits to items like cheese sticks and sandwiches, there’s a ton of stuff with which to interact. However, there seems to be a feature that is not properly explained, which allows you to freely move objects around the world. If you wish, you can take 30 cartons of beer juice and place them in your ___pit. So let’s drag and drop items and see how to pick up and move items in Starfield.
How to pick up and move objects in Starfield
Starfield is hailed for its object permeability, allowing you to place an object somewhere and return to it in the exact same spot. It allows for very silly moments, while making the world feel more alive and real. Players can put items in their inventory, then drop them later to place them elsewhere. On the other hand, if you just want drag something from one place to another without adding it to your inventory, you’re in luck.

In order to pick up and move objects in Starfield, just press and hold the interact key. Press and hold the ‘E’ key on PC or the “A” button on Xbox. This will make it look like you’re moving it using force, allowing you to move it around or even rotate it. This might not be an entirely practical feature, as you won’t have time to drag things around while you’re in combat. But on the other hand, it’s very funny and interesting to have a cup of coffee and slap people with it.
