Baiyon, the Japanese multimedia artist who composed the background music in PixelJunk Eden, is working with Pygmée Studio on a new “love adventure” for PlayStation 4 and PS Vita. The title announced at BitSummit 2015 will be called Muse: Together Is the New Alone and is inspired by the graphic style of Earthbound, and will take place in a small town in the countryside and follows a boy who embarks on an adventure with aims to wake a young girl from eternal sleep.
If you don’t really know more about the project, we invite you to discover the information shared by the latter’s official website. We learn that the title will only be playable solo and that it will arrive at an undetermined date on the PlayStation Store. In a small country town, a young girl lies in bed, caught in endless sleep. One day, a boy finds notes and paintings belonging to the sleeping girl. Guided by these signs, he sets off on an adventure in the hope of helping the young girl wake up.
Muse’s story centers around the theme of “unrequited love.” The game features a unique artistic style, mixing pixel art and watercolors. Combined with a melancholic electronic soundtrack, Muse takes the player on a surreal and solitary journey into a world shaped by colors and inspired by Japanese adventure games from the 90s. Discover new environments, solve puzzles Colorful and meet eclectic creatures will be your main concerns in this psychedelic world.
