We can say with 100% certainty that we will receive a new Battle Royale-sized map a month after the release of Modern Warfare 3, at the start of MW3 Season 1. We also heard a leak regarding the location of this map. Apparently the the new Warzone map coming in MW3 Season 1 will take place in Urzikstan. This is a fictional country in Call of Duty.

Alaix, the leaker, has been right on almost all of his claims so far this year, so we trust the information (they recently leaked the MW3 Zombies beta).

New Warzone Map: Urzikstan | Release date

We believe the new Warzone map set in Urzikstan will be released on Wednesday, December 13 at 9 a.m. PT (12 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. GMT / 6 p.m. CET). This is when Season 1 of Modern Warfare 3 should begin, and we usually get the new big map every year with the first season of the new game.

There’s a small chance they’ll launch Season 1 exactly a week early, but that’s the only alternative we can imagine to this data and time frame.

The fictional country of Urzikstan is located where Georgia is in real life, east of the Black Sea and just south of Russia.. However, the creators behind the Call of Duty story have been very liberal in their depiction of Urzikstan; Sometimes it really feels like we’re in a country neighboring Russia, but in many missions they clearly use Urzikstan as a country. analog for Syria. They use it for whatever they need at that moment.
