Certain game announcements may make a lot of noise during conferences, but it often happens that the studios concerned then remain silent for many months. This is precisely the case of Level 5 with Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom, for the PS4. After a silence which will have worried more than one, the president Akihiro Hino split an interview with IGN Japan aimed at reassuring fans of the series.

Hino-san thus clarified, as was to be expected, that the team was working hard on the game which is apparently much bigger than the first opus. In order to meet the ambitions of the studio, the development of Ni No Kuni II benefits from the largest number of Level 5 employees since the production of the first part. Means that match the ambitions of the studio, but whose mysteries still remain intact with the exception of a handful of details revealed by Hino-san.

The latter mentions the discrepancy between the rather adult themes of the first game and the rather childish graphic aspect. A difference which could fade with this second episode (despite the presence of a young boy as a hero), the developers’ desire being to speak to children as well as older people.

A choice not so far from that of Studios Ghibli, and which we will discover if it was respected or not during the release, which still remains a mystery. All that remains is to hope that the Tokyo Game Show 2016 will have been designated by Level 5 as a good time to communicate more exhaustively on the title.
