Nippon Ichi Software Reveals Disgaea’s Future and Shows New Titles

It was during a program presented by Sohei Niikawawho is none other than the president of Nippon Ichi Softwarewhich the studio has revealed its latest projects.

The dads of the saga Disgaea are also known for more atypical and often darker games such as Yomawari: Night Alone and its sequel Midnight Shadow, to name only those that have landed on our European lands, and it is in this area that we find the two new titles from the studio.

Liar Princess and the Blind Prince is a project thought up by a female Web Designer and selected to become a game, following an ideas competition within Nippon Ichi Software. This one will put us in control of a lying princess and her blind prince in a dark and entirely hand-drawn platform game, very close to a Yomawari. No date or platform has been announced, in the meantime here are some visuals below as well as a brief gameplay video:

The second title briefly presented is known under the code name Project Nightmare. A horrific game visibly captured in live action. Again no information on an exit or platform window has filtered.

Finally, at the end of the program, Mr Niikawa announced the summer release, on Japanese soil, of the first Disgaea remake of the name and if no platform was mentioned, we can easily think of the PS4 and the Switch.

Moreover, in his “haste” President Niikawa to “missclic” on an information file that we were not supposed to see, which allowed us to discover amusing photos, as well as a text revealing the existence of ‘some “Disgaea Next Work” and a “___ Remake Project”. To be continued….
