Square Enix announced that Octopath Traveler II will come to Xbox and Windows. It will be available in early 2024.
Octopath Traveler II is the latest installment in Square Enix’s hit HD-2D JRPG series. They released the game in February 2023 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Steam and Nintendo Switch. Square will likely reveal more information about the game’s release date on Xbox and Windows in the coming months.
Octopath Traveler II Coming to Xbox and Windows
Octopath Traveler II will be officially available on all consoles in early 2024. Square Enix released a statement confirming the announcement:
“Today, Square Enix and Xbox announced that Octopath Traveler IIthe latest installment of the critically acclaimed book Octopath Traveler The RPG series will launch on Xbox and Windows PC early next year. Developed by the same team behind the beloved original, which spawned a series that has sold over four million copies worldwide.
“ Octopath Traveler II enhances the series’ iconic HD-2D visuals: a striking blend of retro 2D characters in a beautiful 3D world. The game’s new storyline, characters, and features make it the perfect entry for newcomers to the series, while preserving the charm of the original game for veteran players. Players can look forward to following the journey of eight distinct protagonists as they explore the lands and conquer enemies in strategic turn-based battles in an adventure all their own.
