Would Paul Byron be back with the Canadiens? He was present in Brossard on Wednesday while several players from his former team were training.
Byron was not wearing a player’s uniform, however, but was dressed as coaches usually are.
Whoever played in Montreal between 2015 and 2022 could not play a single game last season.
Canadiens general manager Kent Hughes recently indicated that his team will meet Byron in September. The principal concerned had confirmed, during the end-of-season report, that he was interested in remaining with the Montreal team in a role that remained to be defined.
During his career, the Ottawan who also played for the Buffalo Sabers and the Calgary Flames scored 98 goals and collected 208 points in 521 games.
