PES 2017 will be cheaper on older generation consoles

Konami has finally revealed the release date for PES 2017 in certain areas: it will be September 13 in the USA, the 15th of the same month in the UK and Europe is expected to follow. But that’s not all, the game will be sold less expensively on American territory if it is purchased on an old generation console, that is to say on PS3 or Xbox 360. Indeed, while the PS4 and Xbox One will be sold at a price of 60 dollars, the versions released on the previous generation will be 40 dollars. The PC version will be the same price, a difference of 20 dollars. Konami, however, did not specify the reasons for this price difference and we do not know if Europe will also be entitled to it.

PES 2017 is not, however, the first multi-generational game to benefit from a price reduction: Electronic Arts did the same for NHL 2016releasing a “Legacy Edition” for a cheaper version on the older generation of consoles, which was essentially an update to the player roster.

Konami also specified that for any pre-order of PES 2017, players will receive “a lot” of bonuses for My Club mode, but they have not been detailed. information on these bonuses, including those for regulars, will be revealed “soon”.

The title will run under the Fox Engine, the same one that ran Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. The game promises “new heights” regarding graphics and gameplay. We will see at the start of the school year if this is true.

Its main competitor, FIFA 17will be released worldwide on September 29.
