Remedy announces 2 projects, one of the two games will not be published by Microsoft

After the release of Quantum Break last April, Remedy (Max Payne, Alan Wake) has his head full of ideas, as Tomas Puha announced on the studio’s official website.

We thus learn that no less than two projects are in development, thanks to the 2 development teams set up, and that none of these projects concern Alan Wake. Moreover, at least one of the two projects will be published by a “new partner” and not by Microsoft.

To begin with, we will continue to follow Quantum Break, which has become Microsoft’s best-selling new license on Xbox One. This is something we’re extremely proud of, so we thank all of our fans for making this game a success, and our long-time partner Microsoft for helping us create something unique. Keep playing and let us know what you think! We are currently working on new updates for the game.

Looking ahead, we have some great news to share with you. We want to create more games and release them more often. In this context, Remedy now has 2 game development teams. Currently, we are developing a title with a new partner. As for our second team, she is working on a new concept which will subsequently become a game.

We’re very excited to show you more, but if there’s anything we’ve learned from the past, it’s to be patient and announce our games when they’re ready (Editor’s note: Remedy does probably referring to the very long and complicated development of Alan Wake). So don’t expect us at E3 or Gamescom this year.

We believe that it is important not to raise too high hopes for you, our fans, and we therefore specify thatneither of these two projects concerns a new part of Alan Wake. We’re working on something else, but at the same time we’re exploring new opportunities and other media to tell new stories around Alan Wake.
