Rocket League: 120 fps and a partnership with Ratchet & Clank

From August 18, 2021take advantage of a partnership between Psyonix and Insomniac Games to celebrate the Ratchet & Clank license. Jeremy Dunham, Director of Product and Content Strategy at Psyonix having stated in particular:

We are big fans of Ratchet & Clank here at Psyonix and it’s one of PlayStation’s most iconic franchises, that’s why teaming up with Insomniac to create cool content for the PlayStation community was both a pleasure and a privilege to work on it!

In short, this is a bundle that will be available on PS4 and PS5 by simply logging into the game. This contains the following:

A Ratchet & Clank Punk decal for the “Octane” vehicle
The Negatron Collider Boost
The Clank Balloon Topper
The Ratchet Balloon Topper.

But beware, this operation has a limited duration and will end on January 3, 2022. We agree that this leaves you some leeway, so there’s no reason to rush.

Second major novelty, the implementation better technical performance thanks to the capabilities of the PlayStation 5with the addition of 2 modes, “Quality and Performance” as has become the norm today. We detail them generously below:

Quality

Resolution 4K at 60 FPS with HDR

HDR requires an HDR10 compatible display and an HDMI 2.0 or higher cable

4K capable display required to experience 4K. If a 1080p display is used, the game will render at 1080p upsampled from 4K

Performance

The game works at a 2688×1512 resolution (70% of full 4K) at 120 FPS with HDR

Game UI runs in 4K

HDR and 120 FPS requires a compatible display, plus an Ultra High Speed HDMI 2.1 cable
